Bravehearts Founded in 1997 by Hetty Johnston with the inaugural White Balloon Day, Bravehearts is dedicated to providing therapeutic support and advocacy services to child sexual assault survivors. Bravehearts is Australia's leaders in child protection and we deal exclusively with children who have been sexually assaulted.
Now operating in four Australian states, our organisation is actively involved in education, prevention, early intervention and research programs relating to sexual assault
Bravehearts makes a difference in child protection and is forging a movement for change in how the issue is dealt with by the criminal justice sector and the community at large. Bravehearts currently run an education programme that enters schools ion Australia teaching children personal safety and it has been proven that we can reduce the incidents by 50%.
Membership is comprised of survivors,
non-abusive parents, friends, partners, professionals and community members
who all share the belief that child sexual assault must stop.
